Meet Michael.
Your new Director of Procurement.
Based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Why I’m Your Next Director of Procurement.
About Michael.
With over 15 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, and operations, I currently serve as Director of Sourcing & Procurement at Blulabs LLC, a high-growth company in the food service and manufacturing industry. My primary home is based in Fort Lauderdale, FL (once a Fairfield property) - however I split my time between Florida and New Jersey.
I’ve worked closely with executive leadership and major national clients including Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Walmart, The Home Depot, Buc-ee’s, and TJMaxx to name a few. My role focuses on sourcing strategy, contract negotiation, pricing models, and supplier management across complex global supply chains.
In today’s environment of tariffs, supply chain disruption, and pricing volatility, I’ve built strategies around dual sourcing, supplier diversification, and cost control to stay ahead of risk while maintaining quality. I approach every challenge with a simple mindset - there is always a better, more efficient way to operate.
My Personal Fairfield Experience.
I’ve lived in a Fairfield-developed community for the past seven years, and that experience is what sparked my interest in the multifamily housing industry.
Over time, I developed a strong appreciation for the detail, design, and consistency that goes into creating a great living environment. It’s something I value to the point where Fairfield communities are always my first choice wherever I go.
That interest led me to study apartment communities across the country - analyzing layouts, materials, and overall design, always thinking through how things could be improved or made more efficient without sacrificing quality. To me, Fairfield has always been the gold standard.
I later launched a side business, 360° East, creating Matterport 3D tours for residential and multifamily properties. Below are a few examples, including my own unit (which I captured simply because of how much I value the space), along with an additional unit for reference. This goes to show how Fairfield truly sparked my deep interest and passion for this industry. I owe it all to you.
How I Think About Procurement in Multifamily.
While I haven’t formally worked in the multifamily industry, I’ve built my career by stepping into new industries and quickly mastering them. I’ve worked across technology, manufacturing, and food service - each with different complexities - and developed the ability to adapt, learn, and operate at a high level.
To me, industry knowledge can be learned. What matters more is how someone thinks - problem-solving, common sense, and the ability to approach challenges with a fresh perspective; as many of those skills are not something that can be learned.
That perspective is what I bring. Combined with a genuine interest in multifamily housing, it allows me to both respect how things are done and challenge them where there is opportunity - improving efficiency, reducing cost, and maintaining quality without being limited by the status quo.
So what do you say Fairfield, can we connect?
